Conference: Dr. Ahmet Alibašić on “Freedom of Religion under the European Convention on Human Rights”
In our monthly conference series, this February we hosted Dr. Ahmet Alibašić. Studied in Kuala Lumpur and Sarajevo, Alibašić is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies at University of Sarajevo, teaching Islamic culture and civilization. He also leads the Center for Advanced Studies in Sarajevo and actively participates in interfaith dialogue. He has authored and edited many books and articles dealing with Islam in Europe, human rights in Islam and Muslim world, and church-state relations. Most recently he became one of the editors of the Yearbook of Muslims in Europe and the Journal of Muslims in Europe.
